What better season than summer for a giveaway of a bold, irreverent portrait by artist Carter Kustera? Carter’s signature silhouettes have added color to many a retail store, museum, and gallery—and, if you win, to your own home. Users can submit their cheekiest portrait captions and Carter will paint a custom, 9″ x 12″ silhouette (unframed) based on his favorite entry. We suggest sipping a cocktail out on the patio while you come up with your quirkiest captions.
To enter, leave a comment on this Facebook post telling us who the subject of your portrait would be (your hubby, daughter, cat, etc.) and a cheeky caption. Submissions close on June 13, 2012, but there’s no limit to the number of entries you can submit, so get creative and be prolific.
We’ll announce the winner on Facebook and work with him/her to collect the final details (i.e., photo reference of the subject, paint color choice, delivery address). Estimated completion date is 4-6 weeks from the close of the contest.
